Michael Obrist/ feld72

In 2002 Anne Catherine Fleith, Michael Obrist, Mario Paintner, Richard Scheich

and Peter Zoderer combined forces to form a permanent office partnership

after individual members of the practice had already worked together on specific projects.
In recent years this group has attracted attention through actions in public space,

by taking part in numerous exhibitions, and as a result of their first completed projects

and their contributions to the architecture discourse in the area of theory.

Their view of public space and its function is as fascinating as their ability to present

their reflections in both a classic form – such as urban planning studies –

as well as through public installations and actions.

The examination of space as a social form is a focal theme in those architecture projects

that have already received several awards, such as the wine centre in Caldaro (Italy),

as well as in their successful competition entries for major projects.
